Questions, answered
I've never played. Can I come along?
Absolutely — that's the whole point. Come to a club day, tell someone at the gate it's your first time and we'll sort you out with a briefing and a game against people your level.
Do I need my own gear?
No. Plenty of members started with hire gear. When you're ready to buy, ask around — we'll steer you to good-value markers and masks so you don't waste money.
How old do you have to be?
Players from 12 are welcome. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to sign them up.
What's speedball and boxball?
Speedball is the fast, tournament style played on a symmetrical field of inflatable bunkers — what you see at the big events. Boxball is our 3v3 format: 30-minute matches where each team gets one box of paint, which keeps costs down and rewards smart play. More on boxball.
Does it hurt?
A bit — like a flick from a rubber band. Masks are on at all times on the field, and we chrono every marker so it stays safe.
